Let’s be honest, as a mom, it’s so hard to say no to that new toy request at Target.
You’re there for paper towels, but somehow you end up in the toy aisle with big, pleading eyes staring at you, and before you know it, a shiny new toy ends up in the cart.
Toys give instant entertainment, and in the moment, it feels like an easy win.
But—spoiler alert—that excitement lasts for all of five minutes before it’s tossed aside with the 50 other forgotten toys.
And that’s when I realized, no duh, experiences are way better than toys. Who knew, right?
Here’s why I finally came around.
Toys Don’t Last Forever
When you buy your kids a new toy, they might be super excited at first.
They play with it for a few days or maybe a week, but after that, it usually ends up at the bottom of the toy box.
Before you know it, they’re asking for another new toy.
Experiences Create Memories
Instead of toys, I started thinking about giving my kids experiences—like trips, fun events, or even just a day out.
My kids still talk about the fun times we had on our family trips, even if it was years ago.
They remember how they felt, what they saw, and all the fun things we did together.
Time Together Is Priceless
Another reason I started choosing experiences over toys is that we get to spend time together as a family.
We’re exploring, laughing, and enjoying time together.
Those moments are so important and mean more to my kids than any toy ever could.
Why Unicorn World Is Worth It
One of the best experiences we’ve had recently is going to Unicorn World.
It’s a magical event that’s perfect for kids, and my daughter loved every second of it.
There were unicorn rides, colorful places to explore, and lots of fun things to do.
She had so much fun, and we made memories that she’ll keep forever.
Here’s why Unicorn World is worth it:
- It’s exciting and magical – Unicorn World is something totally different from everyday life. My daughter felt like she stepped into a magical land, and she loved every minute of it.
- It keeps kids entertained – There’s so much to do at Unicorn World that kids never get bored. It’s a full day of fun and excitement, way better than any toy.
- It’s a memory that lasts – Instead of buying another toy that gets forgotten, we created memories at Unicorn World that my daughter still talks about. The experience meant more to her than any toy could.
So, while toys can be fun for a little while, I’ve learned that experiences like going to Unicorn World are so much better.
They bring joy, create lasting memories, and give us time together as a family.
If you’re looking for something magical to do with your kids, Unicorn World is definitely worth going to!
